Snowmobile - 3 days
You're adventurous and not afraid of the cold. These are two qualities you'll definitely bring to the table when you participate in this exceptional snowmobile tour. It's quite a challenging journey , and you'll experience what it's like to truly survive in the Arctic wilderness.
Keep in mind that our Marines also undergo rigorous training in these conditions, and temperatures can easily drop to minus 25 degrees Celsius along the way. Unlike the two-day snowmobile trip, on a three-day snowmobile trip you'll set up and take down your own tent twice, spending almost 72 hours outdoors in the Arctic wilderness. In short, this trip is a serious challenge . Let us know when you're ready, and we'll make a plan together and send you on your journey to Lapland.
Naturally, you will be accompanied by a very experienced guide and you will be well looked after.
We'll visit a region east of Sarek National Park, a beautiful, hilly area we call Laponia . In the lower elevations, you'll experience the frozen tundra and marshlands, with their characteristic small trees that adorn the landscape like miniatures. It becomes quiet, and you'll immerse yourself in the Arctic wilderness. Your snowmobile , that powerful beast, ensures you can navigate areas you wouldn't even be able to reach on foot with ease and ease. Slowly but surely, a sense of bliss descends upon you, and you become aware of the exceptional environment you're traveling through.
The unique combination of touring the landscape by snowmobile and spending the night in a genuine Tentipi in the winter wilderness makes this trip truly unique! This will give you an intense experience and bring you face-to-face with the Sami lifestyle . Here, you're completely off the grid.
In this winter wonderland where silence speaks louder than the spoken word, where the night sky comes alive with the dancing Northern Lights, you'll find peace. After a wonderful day of touring and experiencing, the evening is time to enjoy the tranquility. The fire in the stove keeps you warm, while the Tentipi protects you from the wind and rain. You'll hear the sounds of the forest, the crackling of the fire, and enjoy a light meal. Wonderfully insulated by the reindeer hides on the ground, it will be surprisingly comfortable. If the sky is clear, you'll sleep under the stars, and with a bit of luck, you'll even enjoy the Aurora Borealis.
If you want to spend two days on the snowmobile, but you think a night in a tipi is not your preference, you can choose to spend the night in a cabin , a wooden holiday home.

Fun on the road
A small campfire in the woods. It can mean so much to you. The silence of the forest, the crackling and flickering of the fire. The smell of food preparing or coffee simmering. Wonderful and precious moments.
Aurora Borealis
The Northern Lights come and go silently. Sometimes it's the wind whispering through the branches that makes you think the Northern Lights are making a fizzing sound. Sometimes very faint and sometimes very bright, the Northern Lights are always surprising, complete with an enchanting starry sky.

Daily itinerary of this 3-day snowmobile experience:
Day 1
Introduction to the guide and equipment, fitting of clothing and safety gear, and instruction on how to use the snowmobile.
After the start, we'll head west towards the mountain landscape. Surrounded by nature, we'll stop for a utelunch (üte-lunch = Swedish for a picnic). After lunch, we'll continue our snowmobile ride and conclude the trip by setting up the Tentipi camp. Afterwards, we'll prepare our dinner and have time to chat around the campfire about your first day of snowmobiling. The guide will offer tips and advice. In the evening, you'll naturally have excellent opportunities to spot and photograph the Northern Lights.
Day 2
After your first Arctic night outdoors, it's time for breakfast. After breakfast, we'll pack up our gear, the Tentipi, and the entire camp, and depart for a full day of snowmobiling. Along the way, we'll stop for a ute lunch and have the opportunity to go ice fishing. In the late afternoon, we'll set up camp again and enjoy another hot meal in the wild Arctic outdoors. You'll thoroughly enjoy the solitude of this environment. You'll feel like you're on another planet. The campfire or your warm tepee offers the opportunity to cozy up. You'll be tired by evening, but we still advise you to stay alert so you don't miss your chance to see the Northern Lights.
Day 3
Once you've made it through your second Arctic night, breakfast will taste even better. The hot tea or coffee will be even more delicious, and the warmth of the stove will have become your best friend. After breakfast, we'll pack up camp again, and then there's time for free snowmobile riding and around noon we will visit the reindeer farm. In the afternoon, we'll drive back to base camp, or the starting point. Here, the snowmobiles will be inspected for any damage (so always drive carefully), fueled up, and parked.

Tentipi
Tentipi originates from the region where we make these trips. Inspired by the ancient designs of the Sami nomads who lived in these tents throughout the seasons, they can be heated with a wood stove or even an open fire.
Holmstock Travel signature tours
Holmstock Travel is deeply connected to Tentipi tents. Not because we have a business relationship with this tent manufacturer, but because we're avid users of this product. We love being close to nature and have come to appreciate the flexibility of staying overnight in a tent.
It's safe to say that the Tentipi has played a significant role in almost every trip we've made. Its practical construction, its versatility for being able to travel year-round and providing protection from the elements, have stolen our hearts and truly become a part of our lives.
We therefore call a trip combined with a Tentipi a Holmstock Travel Signature Tour . After all, you'll experience your trip as we would ourselves. This doesn't mean you'll be drowning in luxury. Not quite. A Tentipi in winter, in Arctic temperatures, is a survival tool. Survival means working to stay alive. "Comfortable" takes on a slightly different meaning, but you'll enjoy this comfort and remember it for a long time to come when you enjoy the protection of a Tentipi, somewhere in the dark, silent, wintry Arctic forests north of the Arctic Circle.
In the morning, enjoy breakfast, a hot cup of tea or coffee, and then hop on your snowmobile for another fantastic day in the clean, crisp winter air. You'll savor every breath, every view, and be amazed by the beauty of nature. An intense experience.

Sami Culture
Our trips are deeply rooted in Sami culture and often benefit the people of this culture. Experience, learn, meet, and enjoy.
Why choose Holmstock Travel
We travel a lot through Sweden ourselves, as a travel agency and also privately.
It is our vision that we can provide you with excellent advice and help you put together your holiday to Sweden, for example, because we are immersed in the country, the subject and the experience ourselves. Not just working from an office in the Netherlands, but hands-on on site. With knowledge of the country and often with insider knowledge of various unique places. We are not so-called travel designers who have to work with only online contacts and theoretical knowledge. We have been there ourselves, as you can see from our own photography that is online here and that was often taken with 'only' a mobile phone. We often know the sounds on site when you wake up, the local places where you can enjoy yourself or where you can get local delicacies. When it comes to small group trips, we are your driver and guide ourselves. We call our trips 'artisanal' because, just like your butcher or preferred baker, we still make them ourselves. We put a lot of time and passion into it, with the aim of offering you a very nice holiday.
Not masses of sample trips online, but a good tailor-made proposal.
Let our site be an introduction and not a travel shop with large shelves. Through this introduction we invite you to come into conversation. We adjust every trip exactly as it should be. Whether you want to travel to Dalarna or Gotland. Very luxurious or just off grid basic. Almost everything is possible. Let's talk!
Signed with a smile and kind regards,
Holmstock Travel
