Castles tour Baltic States

You travel on your own in your own car to the Märchenschloß Burg Hotel Trendelburg (D). Since we are mainly traveling through Germany today, it would not be out of place to quote a German saying: Die Reise ist das Ziel. In other words: Your holiday starts as soon as you walk out the front door. Enjoy every moment on the road. Make sure you arrive well before 6:00 PM. After all, a 3-course menu awaits you in this beautiful castle.

You can of course always choose to stay on location an extra day and night in consultation, but in our example we now assume that you will travel to Czocha Castle in Poland on the second day.
The beginning of the ride is along the German 'Landstraße'. Lovely to start the day with some scenery.
Keep in mind that you will be driving 500KM today. You pass the beautiful cities of Halle, Leipzig and Dresden. Our advice is to ignore these cities and visit the town of Görlitz at the Polish border for a break and a little errand.

From Görlitz, your navigation takes you back to the rural Czocha Castle.

Hopefully you will get up early to take a look around Czocha Castle and enjoy the breakfast that is ready for you (included).
After a short stretch of country road you connect to the Polish highway and continue the route to Pultusk Castle .
TIP:
Pultusk is only one hour behind Warsaw. It is easy to drive into the center of Warsaw by car and with some patience you will also find a reasonable parking space. The center of Warsaw is very worthwhile.
A Superior Room awaits you in the large Pultusk castle. We still had a bit of a Soviet-like atmosphere here. See also the exhibition at the back of the castle garden.

A special day today with a very special destination.
You cross the border into Lithuania . You do this towards Kaunas on the E67. Here Europe is still very narrow. You pass through the area between the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad and Belarus.

Your second day in Riga and at The Grand Palace Hotel.
Of course you can explore the city further, but you could also choose to visit the 'Rundale' palace. Call it the Versaille of Latvia.
You can do this on your own and with your own transport or you can book this as one of the sightseeing tours through the hotel.
Followed by a wonderful evening in Riga.

A lovely route along the coast takes you to Tallinn in Estonia .
Here too you will stay in the heart of the center in a very nice place. Not a castle, but a surprisingly nice place that we will keep a secret until you get there. A real surprise!
You can prepare your own breakfast and hot meals at this location or you can walk into the center and enjoy the many fun options on site. Tallinn has a lot to offer.

You will stay in Tallinn for two days so that you have plenty of time to see a lot.

You wake up in your special accommodation and enjoy the view.

The ' Old Town ' is very obvious, but the very beautiful Lennusadam maritime museum is also a fantastic attraction.

Pay close attention to the time today, because you have an appointment at 11:00 am sharp.

Today you enter the sea directly from the port in Tallinn for the crossing to Helsinki Finland .
Your ferry departs at 12:00 - you must check in at the port no later than 11:00 .
You will be at sea between 12:00 and 2:14 PM. Get some fresh air and enjoy the sea air. In just two hours you can be happily in Finland .
In Helsinki you will stay in the beautiful and cozy Solo Sokos hotel. Handy because you can quickly reach the city to view it today and tonight.

Today you leave Helsinki and embark to make the crossing to Travemünde (D).
You board no later than 2:00 PM because your ferry leaves at 3:00 PM .

The next day you arrive in Travemünde at 9:00 PM and set foot on the European Continent again. In preparation for your drive home, you will sleep overnight at the Maritim Strandhotel Travemünde.

On board you can use the sauna and there is a panoramic restaurant ready for dinner on board (not included)
TIP:
Because it is a somewhat longer crossing, you could opt for an upgrade to a more spacious cabin (additional charge). Initially we always offer the cheapest option (inside cabin).

For the sake of completeness, we include this day in your trip. We believe safety is an important aspect and that is why we have chosen to offer you a hotel stay for the night in Travemünde. After all, you don't want to drive into the night at 9 p.m.

Slept well and after a good breakfast you can stretch your legs on the German beach with a view of the Trave where you can admire the passing shipping beautifully.
You will then set off well rested and prepared and arrive home at a reasonable time .
