A wonderful journey, you meet Santa Clause on the Arctic Circle
On the first day you will visit Santa Claus, Santa Claus in a very personal way and you will see the elves at work in, among other things, Santa's post office. You will stay in a beautiful resort location, close to Rovaniemi, in Finnish Lapland. Rooms, apartments and cabins are of great quality. Just one step outside the door and the Arctic Winter presents itself in its beautiful white robes.

The structure & approach of this trip
We work together with a number of Resorts in Finnish Lapland . In this example we assume the Vaattunki Wilderness Resort, just 18KM north of Rovaniemi. An excellent starting point for a trip to Santa Claus in Finland. Know that people from all over the world are vying for a spot in one of the resorts in that region. 1st day Rovaniemi
You arrive at Rovaniemi airport in the evening.
Depending on the times, you can travel to the Resort by shuttle or taxi in about half an hour.

We have chosen a room with sleeping loft, including toilet and shower in 'Stella Cabin' for this example. There is another cheaper option in this Resort & there are a number of more luxurious options available. We will be happy to inform you about this as soon as we start a conversation.

The surroundings of the Resort are beautiful. Everything is located in a natural environment. You can take excellent walks here or snowshoe through the snow-covered forests. You can rent snowshoes at the reception.
Great Restaurant : You don't have to go into town to find a good restaurant. In the Resort you will find an excellent restaurant. (Not included).
If you are a sauna enthusiast, you may also like the Sauna located on the river. Enjoy the sauna with an exceptionally beautiful view. Use of the sauna is not included as standard in the price.

The atmosphere in Santa Village is just wonderful. You immerse yourself completely in the Christmas atmosphere and all around you people from all over the world are enjoying their Christmas spirit. Winter conditions make it all the more special and here and there industrious elves flash by who may already have a job to do on behalf of Santa.
Santa Claus postal office : Don't forget to post a card at the Santa Claus post office. Send one to family and friends and maybe also to yourself. Very nice when you get home, this souvenir will be ready for you, on your mat at home, including the Finnish stamp.
On the road with a Snowmobile
You will go on an excursion to the Ice Hotel Finland. You do that in a very special way. Together with a guide you will zoom through the winter forests and landscapes on a cool snowmobile. A super cool event!
Arctic BBQ outdoors
You will participate in an Aurora Borealis picnic. You will make a fire together with your guide at freezing temperatures. Thanks to your thermal clothing, you will sit comfortably in the Arctic environment and enjoy a nice hot drink and a BBQ. In Finland this is usually a sausage or a piece of salmon. The guide prepares this. There's a good chance that a BBQ will never be this tasty again :)

Arctic Husky safari
On this trip you will not only cuddle Huskies, you will also join a team of sled dogs on a truly wonderfully long ride through the Arctic landscape. Watch these beautiful four-legged friends unleash their strength and pull your sled. Also enjoy the landscape. Oh yes, cuddling is always allowed :)
Stars and reindeer
In English it is called Polar Night, and there is perhaps no better word for the pitch-black Arctic night with its beautifully sparkling starry sky. The icing on the cake is of course the Aurora Borealis. You can experience this in a very authentic way on a ride through the winter forests with a reindeer sleigh.

Day program Meet Santa Claus trip 'Resort Vaattunki' Finland
Day 1 - Flight Amsterdam - Rovaniemi
You fly from Amsterdam to Rovaniemi where you arrive around 9:00 PM. Followed by a transfer to the Resort by shuttle or taxi. Arrival at Vaattunki Wilderness Resort and your first night in Finnish Lapland.
Day 2 - Santa Claus experience / 6.5 hours
A delicious Scandinavian breakfast is waiting for you in the Resort's restaurant. At 9:30 AM you will leave for Santa Village to meet Santa Claus in person. Santa will welcome you at the fireplace together with his elves . You will also visit Santa's post office and there will be time for shopping in Santa Village. After lunch (included) you will drive by snowmobile to a reindeer farm and take part in the official crossing of the Arctic Circle . You will also receive a certificate afterwards.
Day 3 - With the Snowmobile to the Ice Hotel / 5 to 6 hours
After your breakfast (included) you get on a snowmobile for a fantastic winter tour to the very special Ice Hotel . You will have lunch with grilled salmon in a cozy wooden Kota tipi. You then return to the starting location with your snow mob. A very special day with the opportunity for wonderful impressions and experiences.
Day 4 - Free at leisure / Rovaniemi
After an active day on the snow mob yesterday, you will certainly enjoy a day at leisure in Rovaniemi , for example. Explore the city, go shopping and enjoy the Finnish delicacies that are offered locally.
Day 5 - Husky sledding adventure / 3 hours
After your luxurious breakfast (included), you have the morning to explore the area around the resort. Your Husky adventure starts at 1:45 PM. You visit a kennel for sled dogs and take a beautiful 2-hour sled dog tour through the winter landscape. A magical experience, but that's not all for today!
At 7:00 PM you will leave for a reindeer farm, where a reindeer with a sled will be ready to take you on a ride through the snow-covered forests. What a wonderfully traditional way to look for the Northern Lights. We wish you every success in finding the Aurora Borealis.
Day 6 - Flight Rovaniemi - Amsterdam
Today you leave the Vaattunki Resort and we sincerely hope that you will do so with an enormous feeling of satisfaction. We also hope that Mother Nature granted you the experience of the Northern Lights and that you were able to fully enjoy the Aurora Borealis phenomenon.
