Advice from your travel agent for your Finland holiday
The most popular destinations in Finland
Depending on the season, a destination can be more or less popular. There is nothing better than taking a city trip in the summer to beautiful cities such as Helsinki , Turku , Tampere , Oulu , or Vaasa . These cities offer a mix of culture, history and modernity, making them attractive to visitors all year round.
Natural destinations such as Finnish lakes or nature parks are beautiful in all seasons, although you should take into account not only the weather conditions, but also breeding seasons or the habits of the animals living in a region.
In the far north, snow and winter are often the main reasons to visit the Lapland region, although this is not the ultimate reason for everyone.

Finland for us personally
Our own experiences.
Besides being a travel agency, we are also travelers, adventurers and people.
Enjoying a holiday, ... we know all about that.
Finland is a truly diverse country. It is easily accessible and the road network is in excellent condition. We usually arrive in Finland by ferry. The crossing from Stockholm to Turku (in Swedish it is called Åbo by the way) is really super relaxed and always gives us a moment of peace.
We have crossed Finland by car many times, from Helsinki in the south to the places Nellim, Inari, Ivalo in Finnish Lapland and various very remote places without a name that are again close to the Norwegian and Russian borders. Finland has a lot to offer, that is for sure. Also a very unique charm. In the cities and in the countryside. We are happy to help you travel this special country. Our enthusiasm is hopefully infectious.

Spotting bears, deep in the forest
Perhaps one of the most special excursions we offer is bear spotting in Finland. Along the Russian border, in the most remote and quiet forest areas of Finland, you will stay safely and comfortably and experience how the brown bear magically walks through the forest. Despite its enormous weight and its very large paws, it does so silently. You don't know what you see and this experience will become a lasting memory. As a travel agency specializing in holidays in Finland, we think this is really one of our top activities. Pure Finnish, pure nature.

Why choose Holmstock Travel
We travel a lot through Finland ourselves, as a travel agency and also privately.
It is our vision that we can provide you with excellent advice and help you put together your holiday to Finland, for example, because we are immersed in the country, the subject and the experience ourselves. Not just working from an office in the Netherlands, but hands-on on site. With knowledge of the country and often with insider knowledge of various unique places. We are not so-called travel designers who have to work with only online contacts and theoretical knowledge. We have been there ourselves, as you can see from our own photography that is online here and that was often taken with 'only' a mobile phone. We often know the sounds on site when you wake up, the local places where you can enjoy yourself or where you can get local delicacies. When it comes to small group trips, we are your driver and guide ourselves. We call our trips 'artisanal' because, just like your butcher or preferred baker, we still make them ourselves. We put a lot of time and passion into it, with the aim of offering you a very nice holiday.
Not masses of sample trips online, but a good tailor-made proposal.
Let our site be an introduction and not a travel shop with large shelves. Through this introduction we invite you to come into conversation. We adjust every trip exactly as it should be. Whether you want to travel to Lapland, Rovaniemi or Helsinki. Very luxurious or just off grid basic. Almost everything is possible. Let's talk!
Signed with a smile and kind regards,
Holmstock Travel
